Lawyer from the Universidad Particular de Especialidad Espíritu Santo. Master in International Trade Law from the Erasmus University of Rotterdam and in International Tax Law, Customs and Foreign Trade from the Externado University of Colombia.

Lawyer from Guayaquil with experience in the formulation, management and execution of projects in foreign trade, exports and investments, both in the public and private sector, in favour of a firm vision of openness, sustainability and responsible production.

In her working career she served as Director of the Ecuadorian Federation of Exporters (FEDEXPOR) in Guayaquil, of the AEO Programme in the National Customs Service of Ecuador (SENAE) and of the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Producers.

She was President of the Foreign Trade, Customs and Investment Policy Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) and taught law and trade at universities in Quito and Guayaquil. Columnist for the newspaper El Universo and member of Global Americans, an organisation specialising in the promotion of democracy, human rights, social inclusion, development and foreign policy in the Americas.
