Samuel Juárez
Veterinarian and civil servant in the Ministry of Agriculture.
He worked for 12 years in the fisheries administration in Galicia and in the central administration as Secretary General of Maritime Fisheries. He has been Counsellor for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food at the Spanish Embassies in Washington DC and Beijing, and has been Counsellor for Rural Affairs and Government Delegate in Galicia.
In recent years he has been the convener and focal point of the UN Food Systems Summit in Spain, and a member of several European Commission working groups on food security and food crises. He is currently part of Madrid's foreign investment attraction agency, Madrid Investment Attraction.
